Sure I could say that for any gospel song worth its salt, but in this case it is worth paying careful attention again. In my humble opinion this song could not be written without walking through a number of life’s paths where there were significant obstacles that left the person in a position where all there smarts, contacts, initiatives, back-up plans and ingenuity were ultimately worthless.
Nothing wrong with all of that, God has after all given us wisdom, but the best platform for life at its best is when you’re just left to trust God for everything. This song is a good reminder of that challenge.
