They silenced you for so long that it was unusual for your voice to make any difference. Helping others only worked while your voice remained silent. Enduring this was never meant to be your role.
When the words flowed through you, you knew you could no longer stay silent. Ordinary life could no longer remain. Recognising this still calls for changes to how you live. Depending on God, however, is how these changes can bear fruit, accepting that things can no longer remain the same.
