It resounded loudly in my head. This is the last Sunday of the year.
Sunday is the first day of the week. Sure, some might have wanted to shift that to another day, but my understanding of the structure of the week always considered the week to start on Sunday. Faithfully over the year God has taken me through those first days of the week. First days of the week are great times to look ahead as to what to hope to accomplish over the week, what challenges to expect and what desired outcomes to look forward to.
Way back at the start of the year, I had an idea of how I thought things would progress and the Sunday was good day to establish that especially here on the blog. Sunday was the day thaat I’d post the blog conversation with my brother. That had been going on from 2021 and was going strong into 2022. It was going well up until near the year anniversary.
Blogging was an established part of the routine and the expression of what was important to fulfilling God’s design for my life. Although it couldn’t maintain the daily pace as it had done in previous years, the idea was that it was still to be a hub for regular activity. It was going well up until the turn from Summer to Autumn.
Much has changed over the year and those two aspects are just a part of the things that have changed. I definitely did not foresee those changes and developments. I look on some of them with a tinge of sadness and it’s not as though I’ll never return to aspects of them. Yet those changes have been necessary and there’s no indication that the developmetns will stop. Those changes and developments have highlighted other areas in which I can pursue faithful fulfilment of my responsibilities. It leaves thingsat the current stage very intriguing and exciting as to how things will progress.
I am grateful to God for His faithfulness through the year of change and development. I’m eager to follow His leading as to what that will look like as things settle going forward. I love God, I love His Word, I love how His Word can shape life in all its aspects. It’s my determination to follow Him to see that Word deliver change and development in the lives of others who are eager to receive it.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
