Ten Reasons Why I Love Her

It’s been another long day for my wife.

The work she does is mentally and emotionally draining. She then returns to a home crying out for her special attention. Her three daughters look to her for help and it can get a bit much for her at times. She is unwavering in her commitment to her family, but just sometimes she feels tired and worn out and wonders if it’s all worthwhile.

It’s at those times that it’s useful to have someone on hand to not just offer physical support, but also bathe her in the words of truth that can bring a healing balm to her. Words such as:

  • You are a beautiful and strong woman supremely gifted by God
  • Your unstinting devotion and commitment to God and your family is a shining beacon of hope to all who witness it
  • The way you are eager to grow and learn in all things of life is incredibly impressive and attractive
  • Your capacity to humbly receive instruction and make adjustments in your life continues to make me marvel at you.
  • The manner in which you persevere with those you love and remain by their side to see the best situation for them is a tremendous strength of character
  • How you give yourself totally to supporting a cause blows my mind time after time. Truly you don’t hold back anything and that is to the benefit of the recipients.
  • The boundless enthusiasm you possess is so infectious, whenever I feel like I cannot accomplish, I just think of your example and perk myself up.
  • Your heart is so appealing to me in its size, its sensitivity, its ability to provoke compassion from others.
  • Your integrity and authenticity is outstanding. There’s no guile in you, no hidden agendas and machinations. That quality is a fantastic one in you
  • Your femininity reminds me of why Adam had to sing when he saw what God had presented to him. You’re truly the greatest gift this man has ever received.

That of course only scratches the surface of why I love you, Authrine. Yet I do love you. There are hundreds of other reasons why I love you, but please accept my life devoted to celebrating the Christ in you as my way of saying thanks.
