It’s The Presence of Key People

“I love you all.”

I hear that from time to time. Thankfully not from me, but when I hear it, I always have a quizzical look on my face. Especially when the ‘all’ in question involve people they could not possibly know. That sentiment appears so cheap and meaningless. It’s a waste of precious words.

That’s a lot different to the sentiment offered on the one-to-one basis. You know. That statement that simply says, “I love you.”

Going through the archives, I came across something I wrote about being in strategic positions in life. That was a good reminder of something else that I recalled writing. indeed, trekking back further, I did indeed come across something about certain key people strategically placed in my life.

I love God because He sees us and He recognises the need for us to be in the right place to be a good influence in the life of others and to be the recipient of the good influence from others. In my case, there are several work colleagues that I can refer to whose presence and contact really brightens up my day. It does not matter what is going on in the content of the day, they’ll get in touch, make a comment, lend an ear to hear what’s going on and bring focus back on why it’s worth persevering and persisting. If all I did was moan and grumble then I’m sure it would turn off those who were put in my life to be good influence. That’s an indication of the good influence they have to remind me more of what there is to be grateful about than what there is to grumble about. Even then whatever there is to moan about should be cause to either seek a solution or go back in prayer to God about the matter so that the praise and thanksgiving can resume that helps the approach to work.

It’s all about the presence of those key people that make all the difference. It’s that which also encourages me to see how I can be one of those key people in the presence of the life ot others.
