Sharpening Each Other

As iron sharpens iron,so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

This is not going to be a long one. (To which the crowd go wild.)

It’s worth thanking God for good relationships. I am a better person today because of my interaction with some brilliant people.  People who cause sparks to fly as I engage with them. People who stir me to think about why I do what I do and how I can do things better.  People who accept their frailties but still depend wholeheartedly on the God who makes adequate and effective in every task.

I’m inspired to take every day as a present and do what God has called me to do in it. I’m motivated to be grateful for who I am and what God does in my life. This is because of the wonderful people God has surrounded my life with. By wonderful I include wonderful in being awkward at times unpleasant, certainly fussy and at times just plain crazy. Not that I’m like that at all … (cough, cough.)

At the start of the year I said I want to excel.  I realise all the more – and wisdom reinforces it – that to do so, I’ll need to get by with a little help from my friends.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
