What impresses me about my children is their sense of wonder at the world around them. I thought it was a sign of being cool to just take things in my stride and be rather nonplussed at this or that. Yet my children remind me that this is a disrespect at what god has provided for the very purpose of my awe and wonder at His handiwork. Indeed the sheer grace of God to see my children is in itself a wonder. Their beaming faces, the shining intellect, the joy of life – that is a wonder.
Then of course as this song says above all those wonders is to think that God loves me. What a wonder. Life would be so much less thrilling without embracing that wonder.
