Sites to See – July Edition

There is some good stuff being written online and after a while I’ve got up with just a sample of some writing worth reading – enjoy.

This is an outstanding entry challenging the view of Christianity that sees itself at the apex.  Convicting, thought-provoking and so something worth considering on its own merits.

Guy highlights a must have book for keeping things simple especially in understanding the requirements of believers engaging in the mission with Jesus.

Alan asks us to imagine the impossible church which is the very church that God can make possible if we just live out the imagination.  He also talks about the Lord’s Supper as the Feast of Friends an idea I would very much love to be a part of.

Challenging epitaph for the church in America.  I wonder what eulogy would be used for the church in the UK?

Bobby challenges us over the issue of convictions that can lead to contentions.

Arthur recommends the latest book by Tim Chester and to be fair he makes a meal of it, for deliberate purposes.

Remember this hombre’s issues in your prayers, it is just a drop in the ocean of people who feel the same way about different issues in life – let it be the prayer that inspires more prayers and deeper relationships with other.

If you are comfortable with consumer Christianity requiring little more than weekly attendance of a service in which your efforts are to stand, sit, sing, listen and then enjoy a nice cup of tea please do not read this challenging entry from Eric about what we find when we take God’s Word seriously – and that from just five verses of scripture in Colossians.  Even if you don’t fall in that category of Christian being reminded of what it is to be one should convict.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
