So what kind of words do you have coming at you? It’s worth thinking about, from the time you wake up in the morning until you reach your time to sleep at the end of your day, how many words do you have coming at you? From your loved ones, from the television, from the […]
Read More DMCD Songs: We Need A Word From The Lord – Thomas Whitfield and Kim BurrellI don’t have to write this, I know that. I take responsibility for what I write on here, good, bad and indifferent. The written word is not the best forum for everything and some things are best done in a more suitable environment. However, some things are good to make a record of in the […]
Read More Another Christopher ConfessionalI was reflecting to myself that it’s almost ten years since I was an active part of a church choir. It feels like a lifetime ago. I still have fond memories of those days and I was sniffing around to see arrangements and songs that set the standard for what choirs should be like. Being […]
Read More DMCD Songs: Mighty God/Outstanding – JPK & NLCC“Are you happy?” That is what a dear friend of mine asked. As it was a text it was more in text speech – but this is not a text and so you get the point of the question. There were other questions attached to it which stimulated this blog entry. Read More Happiness and Joy in the Life of a Believer: A Brother’s BeliefI am a big subscriber to the sad condition of ‘out-of-sight-out-of-mind’. Yeah, it’s a true story. I don’t know the genius, but every night for the last five nights I have prayed a blessing on him/her and his/her family. Truly when my chest feels sore, […]
Read More Thank God For Hot RibenaWhile others love the summer sun and some enjoy the new life of spring, with the proponents for the golden leaves of Autumn, I have to stake my claim in saying my favourite season of the cycle is Winter. One of the things I love about the season is how it’s a season of death, […]
Read More Hibernation and PreparationBack in the day I was a fairly big Paul McCartney fan. By fairly big I mean I’d take an interest in his music and loved getting it whenever I could, usually through someone else! Now I’d usually post the track over at the Other Place, but there’s a point to putting here. Macca’s lyrics […]
Read More When Will We Be Free From These Distractions? Some brother was at this gig and rather than focussing on the main man that people had paid to see had a little focus on the musicians who often make these experiences so memorable and special. Glad he did as well for this little medley. I love it and how the musicians are not just […]
Read More DMCD Songs: Rain On Us/Oh How Wondrous – John P. Kee in 2010I’m just thinking out loud about some things. Is it the case that you cannot help anyone who doesn’t want to be helped? If so, can you not even help the person to acknowledge the need they have to be helped? Is it part of the responsibility of a believer to generate/stimulate the need, or […]
