At Some Point They’ll Have To Know

When do you tell them?

You say they’re a part of your inner circle. They’re your confidants and have helped you out with so much. It’s not that you don’t trust them completely, it’s just that this particular issue has been so close to your heart for so long, it almost feels like you’re letting it go to share it with them. You’ve not shared it with anyone. You’ve been content to keep it to yourself. Yet isn’t this a part of the process? Don’t they have to get on the inside at some point if they’re your real close friends?

How do you tell them?

Should you just test the waters and let them know on an incremental basis? Do you drop hints here and there until you get to a point where you see if they’re ready to take on board the whole thing? Or is it better to just arrange to see them and tell them and give them time to absorb the information and then converse on it?

Oh, what’s that? Oh just thinking out loud.
