The individualistic impulse is very strong.
The presentation of discipleship just being about ‘me and Jesus’ is very appealing. And although every so often a group of people gather in the same locality, it’s intriguing to see if they actually feel like they’re together. Is there any sense in which it’s not ‘me and Jesus’ but it’s ‘Jesus and us’?
