Focus On Jesus

Hearing some people it’s clear where their priorities lay.

Catching myself from time to time highlights how challenging it is to live in a way that won’t compromise the gospel. This week I was challenged about my thoughts to a particularly unpleasant and slippery personality. The two-faced sneaky character really got on my nerves and I discovered that I was losing my focus on what really mattered.

Therein is the real challenge when we come across challenging situation, will we allow the focus we started out with to be changed by the things of this world? Or will our focus be strengthened? Will we see the incidence as a chance to see God glorified?

I know some really dear people to me who for one reason or the other will find their attention on what God has done, or not done, rather than building bridges to who God is and being satisfied in that. These are not the best examples of what it is to do right.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
