These are things I was just considering on the spur of the moment. It’s an interesting question as to what I would take with me. The answers are almost as interesting. They’re not in any particular order.
1. Bible
2. Solar powered laptop
3. Portable hard drive with music and video collection
4. Box of Bakewell Tarts
5. Photo gallery of friends and family
6. Large bag of freshly made carrots
7. Three loaves of white hard dough bread
8. Four litres of Orange Lucozade.
9. A4 Lined Notepad
10. Pack of 10 biro pens

Thank you CD! This was an enjoyable exercise! After I posted my submission, I asked several people this same question. The more I challenged others with this question, the more I discovered its depth. It is a question that assists us in advance in thinking what we might need if we are suddenly faced with having to live without our luxuries, or having to escape from our homes in order to survive. How would we prepare ourselves?
Luke 21:36 says, Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
I realized later that I would not take my laptop because I would likely not have a signal to connect to the internet nor would I want my signal to be detected, if I had one. Instead, I would replace the laptop on my list, with a ham radio.
