Sometimes, I forget that all that I am and have is because of the grace of God. I get complacent, I take it for granted. I expect it without that degree of gratitude that should go with it.
The Father graciously and patiently brings that to my attention. I recognise it and ask God to hear me, to have mercy on me, and to be my helper. As I reach that place of surrender, so the gratitude returns.
