It is not unnatural to praise.
A remark on how good someone looks. An observation on the enjoyable meal. A comment on why you liked that show. A reflection on what you liked about the day. Those are expressions of praise.
The invitation to think about whatever is praiseworthy is to consider carefully who and what is truly worthy of praise. And the key part is “worthy”, which introduces the standard. When we see who sets the standard of good, that determines what is praiseworthy.
