I am blessed.
To reach 48 years with the stories I can tell about those years is living proof that I am blessed.
I am primarily blessed because I am loved by God, and that love enables me to love in ways that I’ve never experienced and could never experience.
I am a loner and often thought that I was alone. If I were alone, I certainly wouldn’t be producing this. I need relationships, and I thrive on the right ones. I have been blessed with some great ones over the years that I appreciate more than a blog entry will ever tell.
Of all those relationships, when considering aspects of longevity and depth, there is no greater relationship I have with a human being than the one I share with David Dryden. All of my conscious life, I’ve known David. All my adult life, my brother has been there to observe the ups and downs with insights that no one else has had. I’ve written quite a bit about my brother and I’m happy to reiterate that I hold him as the standard to which every other relationship I have with a man is measured. And that’s a gold standard.
Here are some of the things I’ve written about him:

- Oh Brother – 13-10-11

For His Name’s Sake
