Prayer is prominent in scripture.
The ability to converse with God on matters great and small is something marvellous to consider and something that God is keen to get us into. It’s no surprise, then, that what’s so basic and foundational in right relationship with God is precisely the sort of thing that is often minimised and overlooked. The call for corporate prayer remains one of those that are tagged onto things and not well attended by church memberships.
The journey I’ve taken in prayer, from my start with Jesus to the present day, would be a series of blog posts in itself. In the meantime, a lot has been written about prayer on this blog over the last twenty years; here are just a smattering of good posts.
