WIWO: 1 Timothy Day 9 – Living Out 1 Timothy

Day 9: Integration and Application — Living Out 1 Timothy

Reading: Review 1 Timothy 6:20-21 and reflect on the entire letter

Study Questions:

1. Key Themes: What are the three most important themes you’ve discovered in 1 Timothy?

  • Sound Doctrine vs False Doctrine
  • Standards for Christian Relationships
  • Worship, Prayer and the Gospel

2. Personal Impact: How has this study challenged or changed your understanding of Christian living?

The study has challenged my understanding of Christian living, prompting me to consider its impact on the importance of our actions when we gather, how these should influence church leadership, and how the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ should shape the Christian community. That seriously challenges my appreciation for the breadth of Christian life, as well as how it should affect all of life.

3. Practical Application: What specific changes will you make in your life based on this study?

Actively pursue the character required for leadership in the Body of Christ to be able to set an active and visible example for others to see what it takes to follow Christ. Be more intentional in encouraging those in my sphere of influence to follow Jesus in conversation, prayer, study of the Word and, where possible, being on mission together.

4. Ongoing Commitment: How will you continue to apply these lessons in the weeks and months ahead?

The notes I’ve made throughout this series are something I’ll reflect on regularly to track the progress I’ve made in acting on the areas of personal application. I’m grateful to have shared this series with my friend, Steven, and I hope to be held accountable to him for the commitments I’ve made.

Final Day 10: Application Areas to Consider

Areas include:

  • Leadership
  • Doctrine
  • Relationships
  • Godliness
  • Stewardship

What you’re releasing has something to do with what lives in you, so let’s get the Word In to get the Word Out!
