We are not impressing God with a lot of activity. We are not impressing God by telling Him all the things we’ve achieved. The idea of being fruitful stems from our faithfulness, and being faithful is about abiding in Christ. Abiding in Christ is to accept the invitation to rest in Him.
Often, it’s good to be reminded of the invitation to rest in Him. So we will know what it is we operate from when we return to rest.
