Things have changed.
I am very grateful to God for this blog. Very soon, should God spare my life and not return, I’ll be marking two decades of blogging. That’s a long time and a lot of words uploaded here and elsewhere, and I’m very humbled and honoured at reaching such a milestone.
Recently, this blog ran a 40-day streak of consistent blogging in the Journeyman series. I’m very grateful to God for starting and finishing that, with a degree of consistency in posting that aligns with my desire to be productive in creating Kingdom content daily.
Before those forty days, I had been relatively consistent in weekly posts exploring a series on Obeying the King’s Commands. I’m nowhere near done with that series, and the likelihood is that I’ll continue with that series weekly as of next week. During the forty days, though, I was reflecting on other activities I do, and some developments emerged that I hope to act on.
One is that a couple of months ago, I started a Bible Study series with a friend who committed to daily note-taking on the scriptures we were reading. As that’s something of a daily discipline, I’m thinking of sharing the study notes as a contribution to the desire to produce daily Kingdom content. That study series – called Word In Word Out – would be something I’d use to populate this blog from Monday to Friday. Then on the Saturday, I can bring back the Dryden Shorts.
It’s a very busy season in my life across many areas, which is an impetus to make the commitment. I want to apply this as a discipline now rather than waiting for downtime to get into it. There are plenty of other Kingdom opportunities and responsibilities that occupy my time, and God is faithful in all that to keep me focused on Him.
Thank you for your prayers, general support, and for being here to read this blog. The desire is to keep on following the leading of the Spirit in how I proceed. Please continue to pray that I bear that as the driver of what I do and why I do it as I endeavour to produce fruit.
For His Name’s Sake
