We don’t know if we will live to see another minute, let alone another day. One thing that is guaranteed is that our time on this earth will come to an end. It is appointed. And then the judgement.
Between now and then, there are seasons to go through. Seasons of plenty and seasons of lack. Seasons of joy and seasons of despair. Seasons of great health and seasons of pain.
What happens is that even as a season ends, we know there’s only going to be another season to begin all over again. No, it won’t be the same season, just as there is never truly the same day, however monotonous some think life can be. New days present new mercies and new opportunities – the one day ends and the next begins.
This is why the faithfulness of God is so important. He is the only constant in a world ever changing. He is the only trustworthy one in a time when nothing else can be that reliable. He can be counted on in every season to help bring satisfactory ends and refreshing beginnings. Thank God for His presence and His faithfulness, which steer and guide us through all seasons.
Here’s to the new beginning on the journey with Christ.
