There is no guarantee of ease with Christ. The walk with Him includes suffering, then it’s clear that being comfortable isn’t something to expect.
In the disruption, and rejection, there is something to be said for that sense of peace in following Christ.
It doesn’t remove the tears or erase the heartache, but it gives the peace that surpasses understanding.
It is good to be assured of being called by Christ and rest there when things don’t appear to be working out. This is part of the goodness of God.
