There really is no guarantee to live to see another day. No guarantee at all.
People made plans for 2022 at the start of that year and didn’t make it to the end of the month. It doesn’t stop people making plans, but it should sober us up to recognise both our mortality and our need for humility when it comes to making those plans. And that’s just on the issue of not living to make it through the year. People might have hoped for one thing and missed it completely, others would have hoped for something and ended up with something far better than they expected.
I’m grateful to have the opportunity to have made it through 2022 and on the other side of that year, it’s fascinatign looking back at the activity on the blog in that year. It really was split in half. The first half featuring study blog posts, conversation blog posts and other posts on a relatively regular basis. Then in the second half of the year the level of content dropped to the occasional short. The main reason for this was the increase in content and material on other platforms such as YouTube and Spotify. Those remain important places to upload material going forward, but for the time being there’s a window of opportunity to maintain the written work on this blog.
Going forward as well, though, there is a hope to pursue written work on other platforms and in different formats as well and I trust God that those will work out. The family is well and growing to a new place in how we interact and engage. That’s fascinating and something I hope to cherish in these coming days and weeks.
Thanks for your ongoing support for the material on the various platforms.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
