Dryden Shorts: We are Not The Same

We are different.

The differences have been a source for much mayhem and mischief. The response to that in some circles has been a bid for conformity. Others have used it to not just make distinctions but establish distance.

What should make the church a beacon is being in Christ and the differences contribute in a glorious collaborative cohesion.

What should make the church outstanding is a celebration of how those differences are part of the wondrous tapestry God is weaving with those complimentary threads of our lives.

Should.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom

  1. A great message, Chris. Thanks for posting. Nobody can make a tapestry without all the right colours of thread. Nobody can make a garden without a selection of different plants. Nobody can bake a cake without the right mix of ingredients. And nobody (not even Jesus) can build the church without all his different people. Let’s celebrate the differences as well as celebrating the oneness. We’re all one, and we’re all different. HalleluYah!
