There is no way I can ever claim credit for where I am today in terms of my convictions.
The convictions were reached because God put people on my path who helped me read scripture in a way that got me to understand Him in a profound manner from which the convictions grew.
One of those people was Alan Knox who blogged for a while on a site called The Assembling of the Church. It’s not the first time I’ve referred to it and it’s unlikely to be the last. Whilst going through some old notes, though, I came across the link that forms the Dryden Link for this week.
The Dryden Link that I heartily commend is this interview that another inspired man of God called Dave Black had with Alan on his site. It’s a simple interview in a lot of ways, yet within it are some beautiful nuggets that are worth considering when you think about the church.
The big takeaway I got from it was this question: when we gather as saints together, are we really doing the will of God in what makes up our activities?
Thanks Dave and Alan for providing nourishing food for thought.
