Journeyman Journal: Check the Contract

Jim had been a player in the lower leagues for years. He had moved from club to club from his apprenticeship years well into his twenties. He thought that this was his level.

It took a scout from a major club to see Jim in action and approach him offering him the chance to join them. When the club he was currently in charge of heard of the interest they sought to block the move. This was the first time that Jim became aware of it and as it transpired the scort informed Jim that others had tried to sign him, but were rebuffed by the club especially because Jim didn’t have an agent. Jim thought he was only good enough for the lower leagues and his managers had always sought to convince him that this was his level. It was an eye-opener for Jim not just to find out that bigger clubs were interested in him, but that he could have actually joined a major club earlier if he had checked his contract and seen that clubs could have signed him because of the length of the contract and its value. Instead, Jim had just gone from one lower club to the other in the mistaken belief that this was all he was good for, that this was his lot.

When you appreciate the nature of your contract and the work you put in, it might interest you to discover that you do not have to stay in the condition that you’re in. It may come as a surprise to you to find out when you read the nature of the contract that if the opportunity comes to progress to something better as your perfomances merit, then there’s little stopping you.

There is one particular agreement that has in it a desire and encouragement to keep on going, keep on growing, keep on progressing, never staying in the lower leagues of knowledge and application. There is one particular contract that has in-built the capacity to reach the very top of your game and be a blessing to others just by you being recognised for who you actually are. This arrangement is keen to support you in making the most of what your potential is capable of producing. Indeed the nature of this deal offers you unlimited access to the greatest wisdom available to do that which is right and good.

Jim nearly missed out on his peak years being spent at the highest level because he never looked at his contract. You can miss out on making the most of your life if you don’t check the contract available to you.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
