They want you to stay where you are, because you’re useful to them in that position.
They don’t want you to go because it will cause disruption and inconvenience and you are useful to them in that position.
They are keen for you to maintain your operations with little in the way of change because you are useful to them in that position.
But you cannot make progress in the journey until you leave where you are.
