Dryden Shorts: One or the Other

For a while something in their heads gave them the impression that they could do both.

Maybe they didn’t see things clearly for what they were. So they gave it a go thinking that they could please both.

This was a delusion.

The nature of this experience and the demands that both placed made it clear that you would love one and despise the other.

To do justice for all concerned, they would have to choose.
