Within Reach: Time to Activate

People are walking. Walking the streets. Hustling and bustling. Going to and fro.

You don’t have the chance to catch the looks on their faces. You don’t have the time to consider what’s behind the gestures. It looks like they’re all very busy with the issues of life. They are certainly busy alright. But how many of them are genuinely active in doing things to help them get within reach of that which is worth pursuing in life?

Shopping is done. Food is on the table. Work is completed. Money’s in the bank. Bills are being juggled. Arguments are raised and resolved. Phone calls happen. Text messages are exchanged. TV is watched. Apps are used. Things are done, we can’t deny that. But how much of that is genuinely being active in doing things to help get within reach of that which is worth pursuing in life?

Some from time to time have a realisation experience. They share that and the impact that it has on their lives. From there the process in place is to engage with the process. It is not about being immediately doing something for the sake of it, it’s about the careful work to see what can be done and planning it on purpose.

When that happens, something profound that’s been bubbling and churning within now no longer needs to stay within. Where others are wondering what is their place in this world, you are in this beautiful position. Realising and engaging leads to that point where you can put things into action.

That is an amazing place to be. You are no longer one of those faces in the hustle and bustle who are still busy without purpose. You can do the shopping and paying the bills, but even that is not aimless. It supports the other actions you;re doing in line with what you’ve realised and what you’re engaged in. It’s not just a nominal commitment to an ideal. This is a truth lived out in decisions, words and critically actions.

The foundation in place, the action begins and surely now … now as things happen … surely now is when you know things can be in reach and yet there’s still that nagging question it might be going well …

… But will we reach?
