He leads and rules by example.
He cares for those He leads and gives His life for them. He leads them through dark situations and keeps them on track as He leads them through. He leads them to places of restoration and nourishment. He does all this in the knowledge that those He leads will reside in a place of plenty and a place of peace.
This is what happens to those who accept His invitation to lead them. This is the journey they make. No guarantee of being trouble-free, but the reassurance of protection. No hyperbole of getting things done quickly, but the promise of presence and patience until all that has been promised is realised.
