Dryden Shorts: Solid Foundations

Every morning their Mum would call them together.

They knew the drill.

Have you washed? Brushed your teeth? Let me check? Brush them again. You know you can’t go out and let people smell rotting breath.

OK, open your Bibles. What does it say? What does it mean?

Remember your prayers.

Then they were allowed to carry on with the day.

This happened every morning until they left home.

They lived far from the house but  the solid foundation of home remained.
