I can’t explain it in a way to please those who require testable proof.
Yet I just know when people are praying for me. It’s something I can distinctly feel. And feeling that makes a massive difference to me. It reminds me that I’m not alone in this quest of following Jesus. It reminds me that I’m a part of a family who want God to get glory through my life. It reminds me that I’m a part of a body of believers who need every part functioning as it should so the Body can operate as it should.
It also spurs me on in prayer for my brothers and sisters to likewise appreciate what a treasure they are to me and the Kingdom effort.
Sometimes I can feel it as though the people praying are lifting me as much as they can and if they could do the thing for me, they literally would. Such is the fervour, such is the passion, such is the love that the saints have. It’s very touching. It’s not like anything else that I have experienced before.
Feeling that gives me that bit more desire to reach out to receve the help from the Lord. It gives me that bit more faith to trust God and deliver on what He has called me to do. It gives me that bit more determination to remember His word and to adhere to it by His wonderful grace.
In as much as this cannot be explained in a way to please those who require scientifically proven pieces, for me it’s good to know that it’s still reality. I know the prayers are going to the Lord. I know they’ve got my name on them and it makes all the difference in the world.
