March Through

It is not glamorous to march together.

There’s marching through unpleasant circumstances. No one is looking on admiringly. No one is applauding. It’s just the crew in marching through.

There’s marching through opposition. Efforts by individuals and groups to disturb and distract the movement.

There’s marching through setbacks and defeats. Not every march is about things going well. Sometimes those marching have been severely beaten. The fallen among them might be numerous and the sense of loss is real. Yet marching through it takes place.

The march through these circumstances is only done because the one who calls them to the march has a prize of great worth – the greatest worth. It’s more than a sense of duty, it’s something that lifts the hopes and dreams of those who march to be a part of the movement to something far greater.

It is only that vision that helps to march through.
