Meal Power: Give Them Something To Eat

Sometimes I wonder if God is dropping a hint about the importance of giving someone something to eat.

When God made man in His own image, He put him in a garden to work it and keep it. And in that garden there was fruit for him to eat.

When Abraham saw three strangers come to his area, he immediately encouraged them to stop on by his tent and he gave them something to eat.

When the people of Israel were on the brink of the breakthrough from slavery, they were to mark the occasion with something to eat.

When Elijah was following instructions to stop by a widow in a foreign country, the request he made was for something to eat.

When Elisha had been able to take the blinded enemy army into the midst of his own king’s domain, rather than give permission for them to be killed, Elisha instructed that before they return they should get something to eat.

When Esther sought to gain the favour of the king to save her and her people from the plot to have the people exterminated, she gave the king (as well as her enemy) something to eat.

When Jesus healed Jairus’ daughter, returning her to life, his first instruction to the parents was to get her something to eat.

When Jesus was spending his last time with his disciples, he thought it was rather fitting that he should share his heart with them after they had something eat.

When Jesus was on the road to Emmaus with the two men who were moping about the crucifixion, the two men invited Jesus to their home to offer him something to eat.

When Jesus was conversing with Peter to restore him, this was done having set out something for him to eat.

I’m just not sure, is God saying something about giving someone something to eat?
