He messed up big time.
He was dumped from the company. They said he would have no future in the industry. That was that. Apparently
It’s just that at his lowest point, someone gave him a chance to operate again, at a lower level, in the background under the radar. More importantly than anything, he remained humble and diligent which led to excellence in the work he produced.
By the time his work was recognised for its brilliance, he was in a position to retire content in a life lived well and work well done.
