Reaching the Promised Land

There it is.

What we’ve been waiting for. What we’ve seen from afar. What we were told was ahead. At times it seemed so far away. At times the obstacles appeared to be insurmountable. We lost some people along the way. Some gave up, some fell, some turned their back because they didn’t believe this would happen.

For all that, though, there it is. We didn’t always think we could make it. We suffered. Yet in all that, we know that we’re here now because of something greater than us. It wasn’t just about the quality in us. There was something greater. Someone greater. Right there with us, giving us a reason to believe, giving us a reason to hope, giving us a reason to keep going.

There it is. Take a look. Take it all in. It’s even better than what was promised. It makes every step in the journey worth while. We have a story to tell of how we got here. But now that we’re here we can see what it was all about. The journey is richer and fresher for where we are. It was all for this. It’s worth the celebration. It’s worth cherishing this and cultivating this. It’s worth it.

There it is.
