This is not all there is to life.
Where you are now is not where you have to stay. You may have reached an agreement with your current conditions and they may have given you the impression that it is satisfactory. Yet there is something better ahead. Something a lot better.
Visionary leaders are usually found painting a picture of what is ahead that is the ‘something a lot better’. They present it in such a way to motivate a family, a community group, a business or any other collection of people to leave where they are and head off to that better place. That better place need not be a literal physical location. It can be a better state of being. Whatever it is though, this a state of being and a state of mind filled with great promise – attractive promise.
When such leaders paint that picture of a better place that is attainable and worth going on the journey towards it, their job is to make that which they’re heading to compelling enough to overcome obstacles and hindrances. It’s a challenging task.
Something that helps is that leader’s commitment ot the task. If they are taken up with it, that in itself can stimulate others to go for the journey, to make the start. It’s conveying the message and showing commitment to that message.
