It is good to go out and explore new places.
Places of difference encourages a widening impression of the world in which we live. There is an appreciation for just how amazing our world is and what it takes to discern and adapt to those differences.
There is also something about exploring different places that helps to reinforce or redefine what home is about. Home can be redefined in the light of the journey to different places. Home can be enriched through different elements of what we’ve learnt from those different places.
For all of the development, there are still things that makes home the best place to be. There is something about the routines and reliable aspects of the home – those home comforts. However much things change, there is something that grounds us about those comforts – the food prepared, the table we sit around to eat the food, the people who help us enjoy the food, the way we relax in each other’s company having enjoyed all that food.
However much life changes there is something to admire and celebrate about those home comforts even as they point towards the home we truly long for …
