Some Blessings from Accountability and Oversight

It is a blessing to have relationships where wise people can give strong counsel when needed.

It is a blessing because without wise counsel it won’t take much to see things go awry. However well things start off and however many achievements you can tick off, the wise are very good at pointing things out that can help prevent trouble going forward.

It is also good having these wise folks in life who can help us celebrate properly and reflect on how well things go. Often in life you can get caught up in activity and just be about doing things and never really stopping to be grateful and acknowledge good things going on. The wise are good at that.

The perspective of the wise is refreshing. Outlining your planned approach to issues and giving them what you perceive to be the right way to go about things, it is good to hear their own insight on what you’ve shared. Hear it and then consider it carefully because it highlights things that you would not have taken on board previously.

The thing about submitting to the wise as well, is that it’s not for their ego boost and they don’t see it that way. Getting the advice and guidance they offer is not just about the direction they offer, it’s about the example they give that you can learn from and in learning you can apply when the opportunity arises.

Those are just some of the blessings offered when right relationships are formed that offer accountability and oversight.
