Though Your Dreams Be Tossed And Blown

You didn’t get the grades you were looking for.

They had to let you go.

Unfortunately, you have not been successful with your application at this time.

You have just missed out on the opportunity on this occasion.

Due to your status, you will not be in line for the promotion now.

After reviewing your situation and discussing it with the board we felt we need to go in another direction than you.

Having reviewed the results of your health check, we’ve got some news that might …

It’s not you, it’s just that we’re not compatible anymore. This just isn’t working and it’s probably time to think about bringing it to an end.

Everything you had dreamt of, everything you hoped for, all that you had invested your passions and your life in – it’s all at risk. It could go up in smoke. It could all be for nothing.

It could be – if there isn’t a living hope to offer a glimmer of light in the gloom. There is living hope that illuminates a path when it looks like calamity is all around. When everyone and everything else gives up on you and all appears to be doom – there is a living hope. A living hope that appreciates that devastating mess happens.

Thank God for the living hope when your dreams seem in tatters.
