At The End Of A Storm

When you go through the storm it can appear at times to be a besetting norm.

In the thick of it sometimes it feels relentless. It’s not unreasonable to question if it will ever end.

This is why there is the consolation of knowing that the trouble won’t last always. Not in the glib sense that things will magically disappear and all will be at ease. No, there is something about the living hope that lets you know that this is not how the story ends. The devastaton caused by the storm and the sense of more damage to be inflicted feels upsetting and destabilising at times. This is why we need the living hope.

Here the living hope is very familiar with the destructive effects of the storm. Divorce,  disturbance, dismay and depression among the effects of the storm. The living hope has endured these and has overcome to establish the reality that the story ends in joy. The story ends with something that overcomes the storm.

As the storm batters its way to core of your being holding onto the living hope helps you know that the storm will end and it won’t end you.
