Dryden Shorts: Reading

One of the things I love about reading is how important it is to stop to pay attention to it.

In certain conversations I have, it’s as though the other person isn’t so much keen on stopping to pay attention as looking for the opportunity to unload their spiel.

You can’t do that with reading and do it justice. When you read, you submit to the word unless you choose to stop and reject what you read. I like that.
