You’ve been here all your life, haven’t you? You probably think this is home.
Everyone and everything you know surrounds you and is familiar to you. Sure, you might have some tough times with it and it’s not perfect, but you know that there’s no such thing as perfection in this existence. It’s about making the most of what you have and there’s enough about you and around you to do that.
So this is home for you.
What if it wasn’t your home? What if, for all the familiarity and positive feelings you have about where you are and where you’ve been, what if it wasn’t where you belonged? What if home was someplace else? What if home was about something more than what you’ve grown accustomed to? What if home was something far greater than what you’ve become familiar with?
Would you like to join the journey home?
There are a few things to be aware of. This is not an easy journey. At times it will get very tough indeed and you’re well within your rights to question at times if it’s all worthwhile. There’s no guarantee that the journey companions you have now will always be with you. There’s no guarantee that the route you’ll take will be the same as everyone else’s.
It’s also important to realise that the journey home does mean leaving what you’ve known to be home up until this point. Leaving is not easy at all Many will question your decision to leave. Many will oppose your decision to go on the journey and seek to distract or dissuade you.
The path is not always clear. The decisions are not always straightforward. If anything pain, frustration and turmoil are to be expected.
The major draw, though, is to be attracted to home. Attracted to a place so much greater than your current knwledge of home that it makes the sacrifice worthwhile. The major thing to consider is home and who makes it home. Consider the one at home who is eager to invite you to embrace home, to take the journey home.
He guarantees His presence on the journey. That presence will be vital in those lonely moments. That comfort and consolation will be invaluable during the challenging situtations. He promises His help and that help is significantly better than any opposition you’ll face. That help will consist of knowledge, understanding, counsel and wisdom that will be far greater than any you’ll ever come across.
Not only that, but as you take the journey, you get the opportunity to travel with others and even get to see other people join the journey home. You’ll benefit from their insights and their support. You’ll appreciate as they do that you don’t progress on this journey on your own. You need the good journey friends.
So what about it? You interested?

Lovely post. My last few vacations have been alone. It is so much better when you share it with friends.
To a degree your blog shares the journey with us. For which we are grateful.
