Waiting for You: A Prayerful Reflection

Rooted in your love. It’s the way they will distinguish us from anyone else. It’s how they’ll identify you as the source of who we are. It’s how we are distinct from everyone else.

We are not moved by sentimentality. We are not swayed by financial profit. Our assessments are not run on rational arguments and scientific explanations. We don’t bow to the philosophical and ideological trends of the day.

Words and concepts that come from you are easily distorted and manipulated for nefarious purposes. This is why we are careful to return to you as the source of everything good.

I love how your word declares that you are good and everything you do is good which is why we need to learn your statutes.

Learning and applying that will further make us distinct. It goes to how your building is based on your wisdom seen through your order that is seen in the light of who you that makes clear distinctions from our feeble and foolish endeavours to live in concepts and constructs of our own making for our own pleasure. So fill us with your word and the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to be able to bring you glory by putting what you say into action.

We wait for you, we long for you, we trust you to be able to make the difference in the world starting with the difference in how we live. We wait for you.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom

C. L. J. Dryden
