No Room for a Vacuum: A Dryden Update

June is not a month of the Spring.

In related information, day follows night.

The reason, however, for mentioning the June thing is that this month beginning brings in the most challenging season of the year to me. Some people love the summer. Good for them. The summer, historically to me, has threatened to be a vacuum. None of the things I really enjoy take place in the summer. People loving the thought of holidays and all of that. Good for them. I am a lot more inclined to look for something to creatively and constructively occupy my time.

On this occasion, though, I go into this summer season looking back on a very memorable and busy spring. May has been a good month. I got to spend some quality time with my wife exploring some crucial matters in our lives and that was good. Very good. I emerged from it with an even greater admiration and respect for her which underlines the reality that however much I think I know my beloved wife, there is still more to learn.

The tutoring has been brilliant in May, especially as some of the students take exams and although results won’t be known until August, the feedback on their experiences was largely very positive, so I am delighted with that. My love remains words and the active engagement with them in reading, listening, writing and talking. It’s great to have an outlet for that with the opportunity to serve others. Beautiful, I love it and hope to continue to up my game to further benefit those I support.

There was a rather intriguing development towards the end of the month that has set me on a course of action set to influence the month ahead, so that in itself should give me something to focus on so that there’s no room for a vacuum. I hope to update you on that should God spare life, energy and resources to share at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, thank you for reading this blog. Reading is a precious investment of time, to invest that here as you do is something I don’t take lightly at all. Thank you. Also please keep praying for me, so I can work on developing quality content for the blog and continue to do it …

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
