Just thinking out loud.
“We’re in a results driven business.” “At the end of the day, it’s what you bring in that matters.” “You know you have to take responsibility for the situation and believe you can turn it around.”
Success is measured by the tangibles and the stats don’t lie. The attendance has dropped over the last calendar year, the finances reflect a drop as well. Cut backs are in order. The rhetoric is that of a comeback. Lots of key buzz words that you want people to remember and take on board Yet after another set of bad results will the words even matter?
That can be the reality for certain industries. I wonder though if thinking like that should be the way to look at life in church?
Should church be seen like the business we’re in?
Just thinking out loud.
