Security Out Of Your Insecurities

At least you knew where you stood.

Even though it was not enjoyable and even though the routine was stifling at least you knew what was what. You knew what you could do and you knew what you couldn’t do. You adjusted yourself to the circumstances and that was just the way it was. You got tired of complaining about it because nothing was going to happen to change things.

Well, at least you thought nothing was going to happen.

Until it did.

Then there was a barrage of new things to deal with. So much, so challenging and so pressing. How to deal with it all? Funnily enough, it seemed to suit you to apply what you had endured in the restrictive times to this new reality. The confines that were firmly entrenched seemed to be the only way to deal with this and it did to a degree because it was well within what you knew. Yet the more you used the old framework to deal with the new reality, the more the disharmony became apparent. The more it was clear that the framework was not suitable.

Which leaves you in a new position to discover things beyond yourself to develop appropriate frameworks for the reality you find yourself in. You have to learn not to depend on yourself. You have to learn to give things over to others who have an insight in how to be in this new reality. You now have to find security beyond your own insecurities – and that is a challenging thing.

It’s challenging because the only thing you know about where you stand is the one one who took you there can be trusted. That’s the only thing you know, that’s the only thing you can rely on. It is not a guarantee for a dependable regular rhythm for the rest of your life. It’s not a promise for a set way of doing things that are within your remit. It is certainly not returning you to the conditions you knew before. To live free in this new reality you’ll need to depend on him totally.

That can be very challenging indeed, especially if you want to feel in charge of it all. This is definitely for you own good. The one who brought you here should know. That is why he can be trusted.

At least you will know where you stand.
