He is taking you somewhere. He will take you there.
There is so much to be said about hope. When it comes to a good reason to live it is the knowledge that goes beyond reasoning of something better up ahead. It’s a confident assurance that comes in handy when times are particularly tough. When there are difficult decisions to make, when the way ahead seems a bit misty, when others get cold feet and when there’s a sense of whether it’s all worthwhile – it’s the hope that keeps you going.
That hope is reaffirmed every time you remember who it is that gives you the reason to hope. Remember His faithfulness, His endurance, His strength on your behalf, His compassion. Remember that every word He gives can be trusted in completely, just as He has proven time and again.
There is so much noise going on around about what’s behind you, what’s chasing you, what’s putting pressure on you. What memories lurk within of ever being under the cosh, never seeming to get a break, always seeming as though all there is to do in life is to endure suffering.
The noise can be stilled by the hope. The noise of the stress can be replaced with the joy that comes with the hope. A song for the midnight hour. A song for when the storm clouds surround. A cry when the hurricanes batter you.
It is the hope that keeps you going.
He is taking you somewhere. He will take you there.
