Wherever you are in life, there is something about beauty.
I don’t always appreciate it and I acknowledge sometimes I have taken it for granted. Yet there are times when the hustle and bustle of life has to take a back seat to the appreciation of true beauty.
The beauty of a sky line, of animals frolicking in their natural habitat, of children laughing, of a well cultivated garden, of a wonderfully made meal, of the lover’s kiss. So much more can be mentioned as to the things that we find beautiful.
Think about it too, that feeling you get inside just at the thought of beauty. It’s uplifting, it is literally sensational because of the concept and memory of the beauty.
In some cases that feeling can be so good that there’s a desire to have that feeling time and again, Yet there can be a sense of that feeling for that thing being good only for a time. Like it won’t last and worse still when pursued too much it can feel a bit tiring, it loses its lustre.
That is not necessarily because it has lost its beauty, but we lose our appreciation of that beauty for some reason.
What, however, if there is a source of beauty? What if focusing on that source will never let us lose that appreciation for the beauty? What if acknowledging that source of beauty is a pursuit that is so worthwhile that everything else we find beautiful takes on an even greater hue of beauty?
Recently I was reminded about the source of beauty who in himself is truly beautiful. And just remembering that and seeing that as a part of who he is refreshes and invigorates. It’s truly glorious when reflecting on how beautiful he is. Everything else is beautiful in the light of him.
And tears fills my eyes when I consider that beauty.
What beauty.
