“Hello?”
“Hello.”
“Is this Mr Christopher Dryden?”
“Yes, it is.”
“Hello I’m calling in response to your recent job interview. We were really impressed with your responses and we would like to invite you to take on the position, would this be of interest to you?”
What a call!
I am not a big fan of phone calls at the best of times. I am so grateful for messaging and texting. Yet I had to have the phone off it’s usual silent setting so that I would be prepared for the call.
I felt I did well in the interview, but I wasn’t certain that I would get it. Hopeful, but not certain. So until the call came in, I was left in the dark. That dark of uncertainty, that darkness of not knowing if I did or did not. Left in the dark until the call came in.
Things would never get in order until there was clarity . That began when light was shed from the call. It’s always good to get a call that takes you from darkness into light.
Ahhhhh that first call.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.”
And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. (Genesis 1:1-5)
